Personal Projects

Sustainable fashion

This personal project explores the theme of sustainable fashion through a curated series of photographs that showcases models styled in selected secondhand and pre-loved pieces.

Chic For Cheap is a fashion, editorial project that explores how style, sustainability and self expression can exist in harmony. Every image in this series features clothing that is entirely sourced from charity shops and online webpages, such as Vinted, Depop or Ebay. These are pieces that have been overlooked, forgotten or discarded, which has now been restyled and reimagined into bold and vibrant fashion statements.

The body of this work challenges the conventions of main stream and fast fashion: the pressure to spend more, wear new and follow trends at the cost of the environment. Through creative styling & strong model presence, chic for cheap aims to change perceptions of secondhand fashion.
